Abia varsity introduces measures to curb cultism
Under the new measures, which are fallouts of the recent beheading of two students of the university, the VC has approved a special office for students and staff to alert the authorities on cult activities. The new measures require all operators of private commercial hostels located outside ABSU Campus to form an association and liaise with the school from time to time.
On the directive of ABSU Visitor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, names of student-cultists in all schools in the state will henceforth be published.
Addressing students and guests, Dr. Ikpeazu decried cultism in schools, saying the current global situation is that graduates should strive for self-reliance if they are be relevant
