Super Eagles defender Jamiu Alimi says Kano Pillars will learn from
their mistakes after they missed a chance to return to the top of the
Nigerian Professional Football League table following their 2-0 loss to
El-Kanemi on Thursday.
A win against the Maiduguri outfit would have seen Pillars lead Enugu Rangers and Rivers United with two points.
Alimi acknowledges errors have been made which need to be ironed out before their next game on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's home clash against Heartland of Owerri, Alimi told our sources: “We have a very good and very talented team, but we have to learn from our mistakes to go forward as a club, and as players the next game we will be better.
“It's important we bounce back so that everybody can be happy.
“But we must show the people we can play very good football, be consistent and beat the best teams.
“We have to learn from our mistakes so that we can be very much better."
Pillars are currently third on the NPFL log with 27 points from 16 games.
